I am almost reluctant to let too many people know about this place as it
is one of my favourite islands in Asia because it has not been developed,
keeps its original island charm - despite the arrival of tourists, has lots
to do around the island and has some fantastic beaches and diving.
What more could you ask for?
It is not a busy big island but developed and big enough to have a great time
exploring, rent a motobike and cruise the sites, meet the locals, soak up
the sun and never want to leave.
Good news is that there are quite a good number of options when it comes
to accommodation, bad news is that they are all quite small and book up quickly.
The main beach area is San Juan and Tubod Beach both in the same area, these
offer good beach access to places to eat and drink and activity centres.
For those wanting to just dive there are several places at the north end of
the island catering especially for divers and closer to the reefs.
