The area is covered with rock paintings dating back thousands of years and you can just wander around looking for them and will probably find some but to find the best well preserved art you will need a local guide which you can find at the museum. They will take you for a walk pointing out trees bushes they use for medicine and the main rock paintings and if they like you and you are fit enough some caves, be prepared for the walk it is a combination of sand shuffling and rock clambering and it gets HOT ... remember you are in the Kalahari Desert, take a hat and plenty water.
The rocks glow different colours as the day passes
After the sun sets get ready for a night sky of stars like you have never imagined! With no electricity for many miles there is no ground light pollution and the clear desert air means you can look up and see so many stars from horizon to horizon it is stunning, remember to look for shooting stars and make a wish.
