There are plenty dive sites around the island and there are three centres on the island offering dive trips, prices are around Php1400 to Php 1800 per dive including equipment and marine fees.
Apo does not have endless long sand beaches, in fact the beaches are mostly coral beaches in little coves with crystal clear warm water lapping at the shore, it also does not have crowds of people and the locals are laid back, helpful if you need something otherwise they will leave you alone.
Never seen this anywhere else before but around the island of Apo you will find this notice ... its part of the drive to keep the Islands culture in tact and unspoiled and because there is no power after 10 most people go to bed and awake early, daylight hours run the island..
