Conveniently placed halfway between Okaukuejo and Namutoni Restcamps is the often overlooked Halali camp, Halali makes a great lunch / heat of the day stop with a pleasant restaurant and a great swimming pool, on the accommodation side there is a spacious camping site and several rooms including a fantastic stargazing chalet .... it has a glass roof over the bed so you can fall asleep under a celestial blanket of stars! There is also a waterhole you can view from inside the camp which is floodlit at night, a good place for Rhino spotting.
Onkoshi is a different concept from the first three, it was built to have minimum impact on the delicate envoirnment alongside the Etosha Pan. It is not open to day visitors like the first three camps and accommoadtion is in private eco-luxury chalets, there is no camping. Its unique location on the very edge of the salt pans offers a different view of Etosha not normally available.
The first accommodation in the west side of Etosha Park, Dolomite Resort is a beautiful camp set among the boulders atop a Dolomite hill. With fantastic views over the surrounding park its an amazing location to stay. Accommodation is in private chalets only - some with private plunge pools, and there is a restaurant, bar, fire boma and a swimming pool.
