Olifantsrus is Etosha Parks newest camp and offers a camping only experience
allowing you to feel that little bit closer to the incredible African bush
all around you. Located in the western side of the park the campsite has a
number of amenities including an information centre, a kiosk selling drinks
and light meals, a communal kitchen and ablutions blocks. Olifantsrus Camp
consists of 10 camp sites with a maximum group of 8 people per site.
The camp’s picturesque picnic facilities are also open to day visitors
In the area surrounding Etosha Park there are more places to stay, catering for all budgets, including camping, selfcatering, family chalets and luxury, so there is always somewhere to fit your taste and budget. Each day you will have to enter the park todo your game drives (you can access to facilities in Namutoni, Halali and Okaukuejo camp during the day) and leave the park before sunset, so allow extra time for this in your plans.
Whether you stay inside Etosha Park or visit daily you will have to pay the entrance fee which currently (2017) is N$80 per person per day. At the entrance gate you fill in a form with number of people etc and you pay at the office in one of the camps, if you dont pay they wont let you out of the park, so take the time while resting at one of the camps during the mid day heat to sort your payment.
