The ferry from Maya takes 30 minutes and is a pleasant relaxing ride. On arrival at the island if it is low tide you may need to transfer to a small boat to get to the shore, note you have to pay P10 for the small boat trip extra to the ferry, and you may get your feet wet.
There are no taxis or even trikes on Malapascua the best you will find is
a bicycle to haul your luggage, so be prepared for a walk in the sand to get
to your accommodation.
Beware on arrival several touts with official looking shirts offer thier 'help'
in finding you a place to stay, they will get commision which will be added
to your bill !
Being nice and small it is easy to walk to all the accommodation from where
the ferry drops you off, most is along Bounty Beach which is to you right
as you get off the boat, simply walk up the beach turn right on the path and
follow it round, when clear of the beach and any hangers on that may have
followed you just ask at the first restaurant, bar or hotel for the place
you are looking for and they will tell you how far along the beach it is.
